Raster to vector is a service
of illustrator. It is one of the most used services for various purposes. Vector conversions service is used
to convert a raster file into high quality and fully scalable vector image file
and it is done for using the images on banners, t-shirts, business cards,
printing, and so on. The vector service will make an image free from poor quality.
However, the present world is growing fast digitally. Every business and many
media go for image to vector for
making 2D, 3D, and CAD Design.
They are also using print to digitization which needs to be converted carefully. These services require highly skilled and experienced vector and CAD designers.
Raster image to vector can be classified into many categories such as:
- Vector line drawing
- Vector artwork drawing
- Raster images like JPEG, PNG, PSD, TIFF, etc. to vector conversions
- CAD drawing
- Vector map drawing
- Vector product drawing
- Vector logo design service
- Vector interior plan drawing
These types of works need highly experienced professionals as well as the latest technologies such as Adobe illustrator. It can be zoomed at any size with 100% original quality and these vector images can be used for any purpose in media, digital, or print.
How to Convert Raster Images to vector images?
Vector images rely on many paths and it is pixel-based. At first, take a raster or a bitmap round shape image for converting the image to vector, open it in illustrator. If you take a new document, then place it and zoom to see the condition of the image. You may find it pixilated. Take a new layer and lock the layer of the first image. Now, you can create a path with the pen tool, or in case of round shape, you can also use the ellipse tool of an illustrator for making easily another round shape. Then use the gradient tool to fill color. Before it, take the color from the original image by eyedropper tool. Click on gradient type option and select linear. Here, you can select Radial. An image that has a glowing effect in the center, then radial should be used but if it is on a side of the original image, select linear to add a glowing effect on the side of another image. Fill the color and zoom it on any scale without compromising the resolution. No noise will be visible in the image and this is the image you wanted to do. These are simple vector conversions but for difficult and complex work of vector line drawing pen tool is more effective to complete the work perfectly. Deep attention, a combination of skill and experience, and strong patience should be paid to it.
Why image to vector service is important?
In the case of raster images, the resolution is a great problem because these images get pixilated during zooming or at the time of changing into higher resolutions or sizes. On the other hand, vector images remain in the same behavior when it is zoomed or converted into higher resolutions or any size. Vector images are alternatives to the limitation of raster images. This is the reason why vector images can be used for any media like print media. Vector images are also known as print-ready images.
This service is used for logo and artwork created by illustrator, flash animation in Macromedia freehand. Vector images keep their quality no matter how it is zoomed or extended in any size. Vector images are used for signboard, billboard, Catalog, brochure, digital media, print media, e-commerce sites, and many more. Also, manual books are being created by vector graphic designers. however, there is confusion about whether vector color is only black and white or multi-color can be used.
