When is Jpg to Vector conversion Recommended?

Vector images are drawings made with the object, lines, and curves that create shapes based on mathematical equations rather than solid colored square pixels, and photographs, generally are raster graphics and it is made up of pixels, which is a multitude of different color pixels that creates a realistic image.

When a photo is converted into a vector image, it basically means that the sketch version of the image has been made. However, no matter how large or small or how close you zoom in on the image, the lines, curves, and points remain smooth. Graphics that are created with a vector drawing but also includes pixel-based smooth color and soft shading is not 100% vector graphic.

In order to print good quality images in a large format, vector graphics are required. Putting it in layman terms, vector graphics are drawings, jpg to vector conversion means making a high quality drawing out of a photo and doing this with mathematical equations. Most of the printers accept vector and high-resolution images, and in this case, designs that include photos can be provided to the printer using both vector and non-vector high-quality photos.

Vector graphics make the design much easier and faster. If you have these files in hand, it will save the graphic designer’s time, which will also save your money, and you can produce high-quality results. Many people refer vector graphics to a .eps file. They also use a .ai extension for the illustrator files. Even if you don’t have the programs to open the vector files, it is recommended not to delete the vector files. If you ever want to get work done related to logo placement or graphic design, you will be asked for the vector graphic files.

If the images that you want to print in Large formats are:-

a)       Photos – images that are taken from the camera need to be delivered in high-resolution format. Photos are not scalable and hence converting a small photo into a large photo will affect the quality of the image. The photos must be clicked in a high-quality setting so that it will be the size needed for the project or bigger. Your printer will tell you the photo size needed for the specific project. Jpgto vector conversion is recommended only if you want a drawing, based on the image.
b)       Graphics – logos and illustrations can be delivered to a printer in high resolution or in vector format. The good thing is that if you don’t have a high-quality image, some graphics can be converted or redrawn in a scalable vector format and will be suitable to get printed in any size.
c)       Combination of Graphics and Photos – suppose, if your design includes both the graphics and the images, then it can be supplied to your printer in the high resolution. If you do not have a large image, the design can be redesigned using a combination of vectors and photos, but you have to deliver the photo in a good resolution format to the graphic artist which is re-creating your design.

Jpg to vector conversion is suitable for projects where photos cannot be used, for example, stationery, embroidery, engraving, large printing, or wherever you prefer a drawing instead of an image.
